Bought these with another set of earphones (non-apple brand) for iPod Touch 16GB. These were cheaper in price, but much better in sound quality. These sound very similar to the Apple branded earphones in timber and clarity. When compared to the Apple earphones, sounds like this one has a ‘bass-boost’. Sounds pretty strong in that lower range, but without distortion. One star off for extra weight on one ear-bud (from the mic) always feeling like it wants to fall out of my ear. Never ‘felt’ like that with original Apple earbuds, even with the mic & volume rocker. Wife had similar complaint. Also, pick-up by mike seems fine. Quality is fine – no falling apart issues. Will buy these again.
Update Jul 11: I’ll have to downgrade to 3 stars based on durability – in general just an average set of earphones even with the cheap price. One ear bud & speaker separated from the housing after little over a year of light use. (It broke coming out of a pocket – never had an issue carrying Apple branded ear buds in my pocket, only speakers going bad.) Not the most durable, but considering a tenth of the price for OEM product that only lasts 2-3 years for me, and if you’re not an audiophile and don’t mind having only average sound quality, it might be a value for some.
